 On October 27th 2018 Mayor Muriel Bowser signed a proclamation that would make the 27th of October “Puerto Rico Day” in the Washignton D.C area. We were fortunate enough to be recognized for our efforts during the emergency and recovery efforts after hurricane Maria. Though we are far from finished we look towards continuing our efforts. Thank you to “Friends of Puerto Rico” for having us cater the event and for allowing us to showcase the wonderful food Puerto Rico has to offer. For those who missed out the menu consisted of:
Pistachio Coquito Panna Cotta- Vanilla Rum Whip Cream, Candied Pistachio Wood Grilled Shrimp Ceviche- Pickled Aji Dulce, Mango, Plantain Chip Traditional Bite- Arroz con Gandulez, Pernil-Roasted Pork Shoulder Guava BBQ Chicken- Micro Cilantro, Avocado, Crostini  looking forward to showcasing our work and networking with other like minded organizations stay tuned for photos
 Our initiative “El Nuevo Renacer De Puerto Rico” was able to reach approximately 1,100 kids thus far in the Boys & Girls club of Puerto Rico .. we are continuing our efforts to feed those in need #chefsdeborinquen #bgcpr #puertorico
